x HOW DID WE MEET
Our "how did we meet" feels a bit hazy to us since technically we've known each other most of our lives, thanks to Justin's cousins - the Ryan's. We met at some point when we were kids, but it's hard to remember precisely when since the Pena's and the Ryan's spent a lot of time together growing up.
We reconnected at Harrison (Justin's cousin) and Emily's wedding in the fall of 2018; however, it wasn't until a couple of months later, after a ski trip in Breckenridge, that we started dating.
x SUMMER LOVE
We were long-distance at the start of our relationship - Tricia lived in Houston, and Justin lived in Denver. But despite that, we made some of our favorite memories: visiting Great Sand Dunes National Park, exploring Denver on scooters, the fourth of July inflatable slide/pool party, and dining at the famous Casa Bonita! After numerous flights and late-night phone calls, Justin eventually moved back to Texas, where we settled in Austin with our two pups.
x THE PROPOSAL
Justin proposed to Tricia during their Orlando trip at the end of 2020. We had our first kiss as an engaged couple wearing surgical masks (we were so excited that we forgot that we had them on) - we still laugh about it today!
